Outer Space Finger Puppets

Hello my fellow crafter!!

I’m so excited to share my newest crochet design with you: a mini crochet Ramen Bowl!

Inspired by my love for Japanese food culture and my recent trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, this project quickly turned into one of those designs that’s just as fun to make as it is to look at.

Tiny, detailed, and full of character, this ramen bowl is packed with miniature elements that bring it to life stitch by stitch.

What’s inside the bowl

This crochet ramen bowl includes:

  • soft, textured noodles

  • two tempura shrimps

  • two hard-boiled eggs

  • bok choy leaves

All the elements are designed to fit neatly inside the bowl and can be arranged however you like before securing them in place.

A versatile little project

This ramen bowl isn’t just a cute food toy — it can also be:

  • a fun hanging charm for a purse or backpack

  • a quirky ornament for a Christmas tree

  • a playful piece of décor for food lovers and crochet fans alike

It’s a small, satisfying project and a great way to use up leftover yarn while creating something truly unique.

Using it as a decoration or bag charm

If you plan to use your ramen bowl as a decoration or bag charm, I recommend securing all the elements firmly in place once you’re happy with their arrangement.

You can do this using:

  • a hot glue gun, or

  • a strong vinyl glue

Allow everything to dry completely before handling or hanging the piece.

If you prefer extra visual guidance, a paid version is also available on my Etsy page and includes step-by-step illustrations, detailed schematics and tips to help you through every stage of the project.

As always, feel free to customize colors and toppings to make your bowl truly your own.

If you make one, I’d love to see it! Tag me on Instagram or share your version so I can admire your tiny noodles and toppings
