Cactus lovers, this post is for you!
Unless you have been living on the moon for the past couple of years, I'm sure you have noticed that cactuses have become extremely popular.
Jewelry, clothing, interior design... everybody seems to be inspired by cactuses!
Well, yes, I must admit that I've also caught the cactus fever!
I love browsing the stores and spotting cactus shaped vases, or succulents patterned fabrics… and what about cactus earrings?!?
Some time ago I decided to create a crocheted cactus wall decor to add color and fun to my craft space.
I wanted this project to be easy and quick, something that both beginners and experienced crocheters could make!
I happened to have few 6"x6" burlap canvases left from my last trip to the craft store, and thought they would be perfect to attach the cactus on.
I have a passion for the rustic look of the burlap, it's such a warm and earthy color!
I couldn't think of a better background for my crocheted cactus as the colors are really popping up from the canvas!
I wanted the cactus to show a good level of details, so I decided to use the Aunt Lydia (Lace 0) Cotton Thread. I chose the following colors: Olive, French Rose, Yellow, Black and White.
Let's crochet the cactus and have some fun!
Here is the free pattern for my Cactus Wall Art:
YARN: Classic Cotton Thread (Lace 0) in Green, White, Pink, Yellow and Black
