Happy Tuesday my fellow crafters!
Say hello to the Long Friends - a playful set of four small crocheted animals: Fred the Lion, Jill the Elephant, Zara the Tiger, and Louie the Alligator!
Their elongated shapes and expressive features make them perfect for storytelling and imaginative play.
This project includes four detailed, easy-to-follow patterns, complete with step-by-step illustrations and helpful schematics to guide you along.
It’s also a great opportunity to practice two fun and textured stitches: the loop stitch, used to create the lion’s wild mane, and the bobble stitch, perfect for shaping the alligator’s bumpy dorsal crest. A creative and skill-building project all in one!
Fun fact: the alligator is an old favorite
I brought back to life! If you’re feeling nostalgic, the original free version is still available right HERE on the blog.
Happy crocheting!
***You can purchase 4 downloadable AD-FREE PDFs of the patterns - many step-by-step pictures, schematics and tips to guide you through the making process on Etsy HERE !
