Outer Space Finger Puppets

Hello my friends!

If you’ve been following my design journey for a while, you might remember a very special project from many years ago: my Nautical Mobile Attachments collection, featuring classic sea-inspired characters. Among them were featured a cute lighthouse, an adorable whale, a striped lifebelt, and a cute seagull.

But let’s be honest: both the written pattern and the original photos were starting to look a little weathered by time, and they were practically begging for a makeover!

While I wanted to maintain all the charm of the original characters, I’ve given the collection a modern face-lift. I’ve completely rewritten the instructions and assembly steps to make the crafting process smoother, clearer, and more enjoyable for crocheters of all skill levels.

The pattern now features beautiful, clear new images capturing all the tiny textured details of the stitches in natural, clean light.

These four companions are specifically designed to hang beautifully from a minimalist wooden embroidery hoop, making them the ultimate handmade addition to a coastal or ocean-themed nursery.

Revisiting these old friends brought back so many wonderful memories, and refining the stitches to make them absolutely perfect was such a joy. I hope you enjoy crocheting this updated collection just as much as I loved reworking it for you!

If you're ready to start stitching, you can find the individual LIGHTHOUSE and WHALE instructions available for free right here on the blog!

However, if you would prefer to have the complete collection in one convenient place, you can grab the fully illustrated, ad-free PDF pattern - which includes step-by-step assembly guides for all four characters - over on my Etsy page.
