I’m so excited to introduce you to Otto the Panda, the newest addition to my super cute amigurumi collection featuring cozy animals wearing their favorite colorful scarves. Otto joins a lovely crew you may already know - Zelda the Zebra, Coco the Rabbit, Rudy the Fox, Theo the Reindeer, and Kyle the Crocodile - each one with their own personality and charm.
Otto is designed to be sweet, chubby, and wonderfully beginner-friendly, making him a relaxing and enjoyable project whether you’re new to amigurumi or simply looking for something fun and quick to create. His soft shape and cuddly look make him a perfect companion for little kids, and he also works beautifully as a mobile attachment.
As always, on my blog you’ll find the free written instructions to make Otto from start to finish. If you’d like extra guidance, the premium PDF version of the pattern includes step-by-step illustrations, helpful tips, clear schematics, and detailed instructions on how to create Otto’s scarf using the Tunisian crochet technique - perfect if you want to explore something a little different while adding a beautiful texture to your project. It’s a wonderful option if you enjoy more detailed support - and it’s also a meaningful way to support my work as a designer, which I’m always incredibly grateful for.
I can’t wait to see your own versions of Otto and watch him join the rest of the scarf-wearing crew. Happy crocheting - and welcome to the collection, Otto!
