Christmas Cupcake Free Crochet Pattern


Happy Tuesday my friends! Are you ready for a new fun crochet project?


The Holiday season is definitely my favorite time of the year, when we get to spend time with our families and friends, share precious moments, make memories...and have an excuse to eat delicious treats!


Today I'll be sharing with you all the pattern to create the Christmas version of my Cupcake design!! It looks super delicious, doesn't it? I love how fluffy the whipped cream is...not to mention the sweet raspberries on the top!

Here's the FREE pattern!

YARN: Light (3) in Beige, Light and Dark Green, White, Red

MATERIALS: C2 - 2.75 mm Crochet Hook; Poly Filling; Yarn Needle

DIMENSION: H. 3.5” x L. 3” 2/8 (9 x 8.5 cm)

ABBREVIATIONS: magic ring (mr), stitch (st), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc),

half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), bobble stitch (bo), back loop only (BLO), front loop only, (FLO), fasten off (F/O)

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner

CUPCAKE LINER (light green yarn)

Working in rows (ch1 and turn at the end of each row)

Row 1: 13 ch, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 11 sc (12); ch 1 and turn

Rows 2 - 51: working in BLO, sc even (12); ch 1 and turn

We’ll work now on the long side of the crocheted panel…

Row 52: ch1, starting from the very 1st st, (3 sc, 1 sc dec) rep 10 times, 1 sc (41)

Join with a sl st the last sc of row #52 with the first one of the same row; ch 1

Now it’s time to work in round to create the bottom part of the cupcake liner.

Rnd 1: working in BLO, 39 sc, 1 sc dec (40)

Rnd 2: working in both loops now, (3 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (32)

Rnd 3: (2 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (24)

Rnd 4: (1 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (16)

Rnd 5: sc dec around (8); F/O, and leave a long strand of yarn.

Cut a long strand of light green yarn to sew the open sides of the cupcake liner.

CUPCAKE (beige yarn)

Rnd 1: 8 sc in a mr (8)

Rnd 2: sc inc around (16)

Rnd 3: (1 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (24)

Rnd 4: (2 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (32)

Rnd 5: (3 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (40)

Rnd 6: (4 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (48)

Rnd 7: (5 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (56)

Rnd 8: sc even (56)

Rnd 9: (6 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (64)

Rnd 10 - 11: sc even (64)

Rnd 12: working in BLO, (6 hdc, 1 hdc dec) rep around (56)

Rnd 13: working in both loops now, sc even (56)

Rnd 14: (5 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (48)

Rnd 15 - 23: sc even (48); start stuffing the cupcake

Rnd 24: (4 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (40)

Rnd 25: (3 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (32)

Rnd 26: (2 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (24)

Rnd 27: (1 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (16); finish stuffing

Rnd 28: sc dec around (8); F/O, cut the yarn and weave in end.

WHIPPED CREAM (white yarn)

Rnd 1: 8 sc in a mr (8)

Rnd 2: sc inc around (16)

Rnd 3: (1 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (24)

Rnd 4: (3 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (30)

Rnd 5: working in BLO, (4 hdc, 1 hdc inc) rep around (36)

Rnd 6: working in BLO, (5 hdc, 1 hdc inc) rep around (42)

Rnd 7: working in BLO, 3 hdc in each stitch around (126); F/O and leave a long strand of yarn.


Insert the hook into the front loop of the 1st st of rnd #5, ch1 and work 3 hdc into the same st; keep crocheting in the FLO and work 3 hdc in each st around (108); F/O, cut and hide the yarn.


Insert the hook into the front loop of the 1st st of rnd #4, ch1 and work 3 hdc into the same st; keep crocheting in the FLO and work 3 hdc in each st around (90); F/O, cut and hide the yarn.


Holly Leaves (dark green yarn - make 2)

Row 1: 11 chs, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc into the next ch, 1 sl st into the next ch, [(1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc) into the next ch, 2 chs, 1 sl st into the previous dc st, (1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) into the next ch, 1 sl st into the next one] rep twice; (1 sc, 1hdc, 1 dc, 2 chs, 1 sl st into the previous dc st, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) into the last ch of the foundation chain, 1 sl st into the next ch; [(1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc) into the next ch, 2 chs, 1 sl st into the previous dc st, (1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) into the next ch, 1 sl st into the next ch] rep twice; 1 sc in each of the next 2 chs (45; 10 chs); F/O and leave a long strand of yarn.


Sew the two loose yarn ends to rnd 2 of the whipped cream.


RASPBERRIES (red yarn - make 3)

Rnd 1: in a mr work 6 bo (6)

Rnd 2: (1 bo, 1 ch) rep 6 times (6 sts, 6 chs); F/O, and leave a long strand of yarn to sew the Raspberries to the Whipped Cream.


Cut a long strand of red yarn, wrap it around the cupcake liner and make a ribbon.
