Christmas Bauble (really red, white, clover)

Rnd 1: starting off with red yarn – 8 sc in a mr (8)

Rnd 2: sc inc around (16)

Rnd 3: (1 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (24)

Rnd 4: (2 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (32)

Rnd 5: (3 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (40)

Rnd 6: sc even (40)

Rnd 7: (4 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (48)

Rnd 8: switch to white yarn ­– sc even (48)

Rnd 9: switch back to red yarn ­– sc even (48); F/O red yarn

Rnd 10: switch to white yarn ­– sc even (48)

Rnd 11: (3 sc, switch to green yarn, 2 sc, 1 sc inc, switch to white yarn, 5 sc, 1 sc inc) rep 4 times (56)

Rnd 12: (3 sc with white yarn, 3 sc with green yarn, 8 sc with white yarn) rep 4 times (56)

Rnd 13: (2 sc with white yarn, 2 sc with green yarn, 10 sc with white yarn) rep 4 times (56)

Rnd 17: working with white yarn ­only – (5 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (48)

Rnd 18: switch to red yarn – sc even (48)

Rnd 19: switch back to white yarn – sc even (48); F/O white yarn

Rnd 20: switch to red yarn – sc even (48)

Rnd 21: (4 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (40)

Rnd 22: sc even (40); start stuffing the ball

Rnd 23: (3 sc, 1 sc dec) rep around (32)

Rnd 26: sc dec around (8); F/O, and leave a long strand of yarn to create the hanger.


Create the STEMS (green yarn) with the Back Stitch embroidery technique – 11 stitches in length, between rnds # 13-14.


Make french knots with red yarn to create the BERRIES.
