Mini Sweater Ornaments Free Crochet Pattern



Happy Tuesday my friends!


Over the past weeks we've learned how to create stockings, decorative baskets, Christmas tree ornaments and more...now that your holiday home is fully decorated it's time to start thinking about wrapping ideas that'll impress your friends and family.



Beautifully wrapped presents really shows someone you care, and can add a personal touch to your holiday gift-giving.


Today I'll be sharing with you all the super easy instruction to create a cute mini Sweater!


 

This project is worked with 24/7 DK yarn by Lion Brand!

BEGINNER


SIZE

About 3 in. tall (7.5 cm) and 6 in. wide (16 cm)


MATERIALS

• LION BRAND® 24/7 COTTON® DK YARN® (Art. # 769)

#113 A/S Grenadine 1 ball (A)

#306M Calypso 1 ball (B)

#305Y Star 1 ball (C)


OTHER MATERIALS

Crochet Hook Sizes: C (3 mm)

Yarn Needle


GAUGE

7 sc + 7 rows = about 1 in. (2.5 cm)

Sweater

With A or B.

Rnd 1: Ch 30, join last ch to the 1st one with a sl st; ch 2, work 1 dc into the 1st ch, 1 dc into the next 3 chs, 1 V st, 1 dc in the next 5 chs, 1 V st, 1 dc in the next 8 chs, 1 V st, 1 dc in the next 5 chs, 1 V st, 1 dc in the next 4 chs – 34 dc.

Rnd 2: Ch 2, 1 dc in the next 5 sts, 1 V st in the ch-2 space, 1 sc in the next 7 sts, 1 V st in the ch-2 space, 1 dc in the next 10 sts, 1 V st in the ch-2 space, 1 dc in the next 7 sts, 1 V st in the ch-2 space, 1 dc in the next 5 sts – 42 dc.

Rnd 3: With C, ch 1, 1 sc in the next 6 sts, 2 sc in the ch-sp, ch 2, skip 9 sts, 2 sc in the next ch-sp, 1 sc in the next 12 sts, 2 sc in the next ch-sp, ch 2, skip 9 sts, 2 sc in the next ch-sp, 1 sc in the next 6 sts – 32 sc, 4 chs.

Rnd 4: With C, ch 1, 1 sc in each st around – 36 sc.

Rnd 5: With A or B, ch 1, 1 sc in each st around – 36 sc.

Work the next round changing colors while carrying the unused yarn on the WS.

Rnd 6: With A or B, ch 1, 1 sc in the next 2 sts, with C, 1 sc in the next 2 sts; rep from around – 36 sc.

Rnd 7: With A or B, ch 1, 1 sc in the next 8 sts, 2 sc in the next st; rep from around – 40 sc.

Rnds 8 - 9: With C, ch 1, 1 sc in each st around – 40 sc.

Rnds 10 - 14: With A or B, ch 1, 1 sc in each st around – 40 sc.

Rnd 11: 1 sl st in each st around – 39 sts.


Fasten off.



Arms (make two)

Rnd 1: Join A or B yarn to the first unworked dc of one of the sets of 9 skipped dc, work 1 sc into the same st, 1 sc into each of the next sts; work 2 sc on the armpit section (Rnd 3) – 11 sc.

Rnds 2 - 9: 1 sc in each st around – 11 sc.

Rnd 10: 1 sl st in each st around – 10 sts.


Fasten off.



HANGING LOOP

With C, leave some length at the beginning, work 16 chs very tight.

Fasten off and leave a strand of yarn.

With C sew Hanging Loop to back side of Collar.
