Let’s join the points and the base together and make the front of the star…

1) join the yarn to the 1st st of the last round of any one point, sc in the same st, then work 13 sc (14); keep working on the next point, 14 sc; keep working on the base, crocheting 4 sc; keep working on the next three points, working 14 sc on each one (74)

2) [(1 sc dec, 10 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** twice], 2 sc dec, [(1 sc dec, 10 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** three times] (62)

3) [(4 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 4 times], 1 sc dec, [(4 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 6 times] (51)

4) [(3 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 4 times], 1 sc, [(3 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 6 times] (41)

5) [(2 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 4 times], 1 sc, [(2 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 6 times] (31)

6) [(2 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 7 times], 3 sc (24)

7) *2 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (18)

8) *1 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (12)

9) sc dec (6); F/O, cut the yarn and wave in end.

Let’s crochet the back of the star now…

BACK (yellow yarn)

Facing the back of the star, start working on the second point to the left from the base (as we have done for the front).

1) locate the 1st st of round #15 of the point #1, skip one st, joining the yarn into the next one, sc in the same st, then work 13 sc (14); keep working on the next point (#2), skip 1 st (as done for the first point), 14 sc; keep working on the base (#3), skip 1 st, crochet 4 sc; keep working on the next points (#4-5-6), skip 1 st, working 14 sc on each one (74)

You should end up with 1 unworked st between each element.

2) [(1 sc dec, 10 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** twice], 2 sc dec, [(1 sc dec, 10 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** three times] (62); start stuffing the points firmly

3) [(4 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 4 times], 1 sc dec, [(4 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 6 times] (51)

4) [(3 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 4 times], 1 sc, [(3 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 6 times] (41)

5) [(2 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 4 times], 1 sc, [(2 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 6 times] (31)

6) [(2 sc, 1 sc dec), repeat ** 7 times], 3 sc (24)

7) *2 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (18); keep stuffing

8) *1 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (12); finish stuffing the star firmly

9) sc dec (6); F/O, cut the yarn and wave in end.

Use yellow yarn and a yarn needle to sew the openings between each point close.

Use beige yarn and a yarn needle to embroider the lines on the star as you see on the picture below.
