MATERIALS

Lion Brand® Re-SPUN THICK & QUICK® (Art. #843)

          #150AM Pumice Stone 1 ball (A)  

          #098AF Whipped Cream 1 ball (B)

 

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS

Crochet hook size K/6.5 mm

Yarn needle

Poly filling

Black embroidery thread

Embroidery needle

 

GAUGE

12 sc + 12rows = about 4 in. (10 cm).

ch = chain

rep = repeat

rnd(s) = round(s)

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

bo = bobble stitch

sl st = slip stitch

st(s) = stitch(es)

RS = right side

WS = wrong side

STITCH EXPLANATION

Bobble (5-dc cluster) Yarn over, insert hook in indicated st, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook (2 loops rem on hook), (yarn over, insert hook in same st, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook) 4 times (6 loops rem on hook), yarn over, draw through all loops on hook.


Front Panel

With A make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in magic ring – 8 sc.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around – 16 sc.

Rnd 3:  *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around – 24 sc.

Rnd 4:  *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around – 32 sc.

Rnd 5:  *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around – 40 sc.

Rnd 6: sc in each st around – 40 sc; Turn.

 

Facing the WS of the work.

 

Rnd 7: With B, *1 bo in the next st, ch 1, 1 dc in the next st; rep from * around – 60 sts.

Rnd 8: sc in each st around – 60 sc.

Rnd 9: *1 bo in the next st, ch 1, 1 dc in the next st; rep from * around – 90 sts.

Rnds 10 - 12: sc in each st around – 90 sc.

 

Fasten off and weave in ends.

With black embroidery thread, embroider Eyes and Nose on Front Panel



Back Panel

With B make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in magic ring – 8 sc.

Rnd 2:  *bo in the next st, ch 1; rep from * around – 16 sts.

Rnd 3:  1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around – 24 sc.

Rnd 4:  *bo in the next st, ch 1, 1 dc in the next st, ch 1; rep from * around – 48 sts.

Rnd 5: sc in each st around – 48 sc.

Rnd 6:  *bo in the next st, ch 1, 1 dc in the next st, ch 1; rep from * around – 96 sts.

Rnds 7 - 8: sc in each st around – 96 sc.

Rnd 9:  *1 sc in next 14 sts, sc2tog; rep from * around – 90 sc.

 

Fasten off and leave a long strand to sew Front and Back Panels together.

With B, sew the last Rnds of Front and Back Panels together. Stuff while sewing.



Ears (make two)

With B make a magic ring.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in magic ring – 8 sc.

Rnd 2:  *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * twice – 10 sc.

Rnds 3 - 4: Sc in each st around – 10 sc.

Rnd 5:  *1 sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog; rep from * twice – 8 sc.

Rnd 6:  *1 sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog; rep from * twice – 6 sc.

 

Fasten off and leave a long strand to sew the Ears to the Front of the Pillow.

Do not stuff Ears.

With B, sew Ears to Front, between Rnds 7 and 8, approximately 5 bo sts apart.

Weave in ends.
