Soft Dice Free Crochet Pattern

Updated: Oct 19, 2019

There's nothing better than learning by playing and having fun, don't you agree?

That's why educational toys for babies and toddlers are such an important tool to stimulate their intellect and imagination!

Today I want to share a very easy crochet project to create a soft and colorful crochet dice!

This toy seems made to teach numbers, but there's a little surprise: a cute little bear is peeking from one of the dice faces! Among all the dice faces, I'm sure the bear face will be your little one's favorite!

Here's the free pattern...ENJOY!

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner

YARN: Medium Weight Yarn (Lace 4) in White, Blue, Red, Green, Purple, Pink, Brown, Beige and Black

OTHER MATERIALS: Polyester Fiber Filling

HOOK SIZES: 3.5 mm

STITCHES USED and ABBREVIATIONS: chain (ch), single crochet (sc), fasten off (F/O).

INSTRUCTIONS: Work in rows (ch1 and turn at the end of each row).

Once you have completed all 6 panels, crochet a white border around each panel.

Remember to crochet 3 sc in every corner stitch!

Now it's time to assemble the dice! Sew the 6 panels together using a yarn needle and white yarn (refer to the following pictures):

Before sewing the final stitches, don't forget to stuff the dice firmly!

...AND HERE IT IS!!!

I can't wait to see your version of my SOFT DICE! Feel free to tag me (@elisascrochet) in your photos on Instagram or Facebook if you'd like!
