Today we'll learn how to crochet a Spaceship Finger Puppet.

BEGINNER
SIZE
approximately 3” 2/8 (8 cm) tall
MATERIALS
light yarn (3) in orange, white, yellow and light blue
cotton thread in black and white
2.5 mm crochet hook
yarn needle
ABBREVIATIONS
beg = begin(ninig)
ch = chain
rep = repeat
rnd(s) = round(s)
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc= double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch(es)

SPACESHIP (orange, white, yellow)
Rnd 1: starting off with orange yarn – 8 sc in a mr (8)
Rnd 2: (3 sc, 1 sc inc) rep twice (10)
Rnd 3: (4 sc, 1 sc inc) rep twice (12)
Rnd 4: (2 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (16)
Rnd 5: switch to white yarn – (3 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (20)
Rnd 6: (4 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (24)
Rnds 7 - 16: sc even (24)
Rnd 17: switch to orange yarn – sc even (24)
Rnds 18 - 19: sc even (24)
Rnd 20: switch to yellow yarn and work in BLO, [1 sc in the 1st st, 1 hdc in the next st, (1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc) into the next st, 1 hdc in the next st, 1 sc into the next st, 1 sl st into the next one] rep 4 times (32)
F/O and weave in ends.
Viewport (light blue)
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a mr (6)
Rnd 2: sc inc around (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, 1 sc inc) rep around (18)
F/O and leave a long strand of yarn to sew the Viewport to the spaceship between Rnds 8 and 16.
WINGS (orange - make two)
Row 1: 9 chs, 1 sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc into the next 7 chs (8); turn
Row 2: Ch 2, 1 dc into the 1 st, 1 dc into the next one, 1 hdc into the next 2 sts, 1 sc into the next 2 sts, 1 sl st into the next 2 sts (8)
F/O and leave a long strand of yarn to sew the wings to the side of the spaceship between Rnds 8 and 17.
